When clients need the specialized skills of a historian, I work seamlessly with their staff to complete their project, serve their customers, and achieve strategic goals, such as reaching broader audiences and ensuring continued relevance and economically viability. I'm happy to take on your research, writing, exhibit creation, publications, outreach, and media projects, as well as National Register nominations and grant applications. Background
I earned my M.A. in Applied History from Shippensburg University in 2026, after over 20 years running a successful business as a contract writer in science and PR. In the preceding decade, I also studied historic preservation, led a community preservation group, did historical research for history organizations, and created exhibits in virtual, portable, and traditional formats. In addition, I've completed a number of projects focused on uncovering untold stories of underrepresented groups.
